March 2021

"Oh, the thinks you can think" when Dr. Seuss' best-loved characters collide and cavort in an unforgettable musical caper!

Live on stage March 27 & 28 at Jamison Hall!      ALL PERFORMANCES ARE SOLD OUT.

Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in a fantastical musical extravaganza from Tony-winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.

Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird.  Although Horton faces ridicule, danger and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him.  Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!

Health and safety measures are in place for this event.  Current guidelines include increased cleaning and sanitization, distancing of performers from audience, limiting the duration of event, health certification, temperature checks, hands sanitized at door, face masks, and distancing between groups. The Factory of Franklin is a spacious building (an actual former factory) with plenty of room for distancing.  Children, at all times, must be under direct supervision of parent/adult. Jamison Hall audience seating will be approximately 40% of normal seating capacity.  All seating is assigned, and guests should enter by ticket group to be seated no earlier than 15 minutes prior to showtime.  Bravo's Seussical will be presented in one act with running time of approximately 75 minutes. Performers are children ages 8 and up.  All performers and staff are required to certify health and undergo temperature checks upon arrival.  All staff members must wear face masks throughout duration of event.

Thank you for following guidelines so that we can gather and connect through the performing arts!
