ELF the musical

Based on the beloved holiday film, this hilarious fish-out-of-water comedy follows Buddy the Elf in his quest to find his true identity!

Buddy, a young orphan mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Once he travels through the seven levels of the Candy Cane Forest, the Sea of Swirly Twirly Gumdrops and the Lincoln Tunnel, Buddy is faced with harsh realities...his father is on the naughty list and his younger half brother doesn’t even believe in Santa Claus!

Believing the best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear, Buddy is sure to win over his new family, save the Christmas Spirit, and make everything “sparklejollytwinklejingly” in midtown Manhattan!

Based on the 2003 New Line Cinema hit, Elf the Musical features songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar (The Wedding Singer) and Chad Beguelin (Disney's Aladdin on Broadway), with a book by Tony Award winners, Thomas Meehan (AnnieThe ProducersHairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone).

Health and safety measures will be in place for this event.  Current guidelines include increased cleaning and sanitization, distancing of performers from audience (16 ft plus), health certification, temperature checks, and hands sanitized at door, face coverings (Williamson County is under a mask mandate through the end of 2020), limiting the duration of event, and social distancing between families/groups.

The Factory of Franklin is a spacious building (an actual former factory) with plenty of room for distancing. Prior to showtime as well as after performance, guests should maintain social distancing inside The Factory.  Children, at all times, must be under direct supervision of parent/adult. Jamison Hall audience seating will be at 30% of normal seating capacity.  All seating is assigned, and guests should enter by ticket group to be seated no earlier than 15 minutes prior to showtime.  Bravo's Elf will be presented in one act with running time of approximately 75 minutes.

This is a double cast production, Gumdrop Cast and Sugarplum Cast, starring area children ages 8 and up.  All performers and staff are required to certify health and undergo temperature checks upon arrival.  All staff members must wear face masks throughout duration of event.

Thank you for following guidelines established by our governing officials so that we can gather and connect (from a distance!) through the performing arts.
