June Production
This summer, Bravo goes under the sea in Disney's The Little Mermaid, based on Hans Christian Andersen's beloved story and the classic animated film. With music by eight-time Academy Award winner, Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater and a compelling book by Doug Wright, this fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs, including "Under the Sea," "Kiss the Girl" and "Part of Your World", and more!
Ariel, King Triton's youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends, Flounder the fish, Scuttle the seagull and Sebastian the crab to restore order under the sea.
Rehearsals will run May & June at Bravo facility in Grassland area of Franklin, with performances at Father Ryan Center For the Arts June 20 - 22. Once school is out, we typically continue with rehearsals in afternoon / early evening to keep earlier hours available for swim time, day camps, pool time. All ultimately depends on rehearsal conflicts of the cast.
The production has many roles, including: Ursula, Flotsam & Jetsam, King Triton, Ariel, Aquata, Andrina, Arista, Atina, Adella, Allana, Prince Eric, Sebastian, Flounder, Scuttle and tap dancing Seagulls, Chef Louis & Chefs, Carlotta, Grimsby, Palace Maids, Pilot & Sailors, Princesses for "The Contest", Sea Creatures, Lagoon Animals, and more!
