Youth Choral Group
Mondays 5:00 - 6:00, March 19 - May 14
(not meeting April 2 during spring break)
Youth ages 8 - 14 years will spend eight weeks focusing on a classical treble voice repertoire as well as a few musical theatre selections. While the focus will be on choral singing, an introduction to vocal technique will be offered and some solo opportunities will be provided.
The class will culminate in a concert for family and friends in May.
Instructor is Belmont University voice teacher, Alyssa Volker. Cost is $125.
Improv/ Acting Class
Sundays, April 15 - May 20
2:00pm - 3:30pm - Ages 8 - 11
3:45pm - 5:15 - Ages 12 - 15
This class utilizes theatre games, scene work, and group exercises to teach the fundamentals of improvisation/acting where students will learn to listen, create characters, build scenes, and invent stories without using props or costumes while learning to work as a team/ensemble. Students will also learn to relax and react on stage and in front of others.
The class is led by improv master, Scott Field, and will culminate in a performance showcase for family and friends. Cost is $125, and class size is limited.
