Bravo's 2012 Spring Musical Theatre Production...
SEUSSICAL the MUSICAL
Now one of the most performed shows in America, Seussical is a fantastical, magical, fun music extravaganza featuring characters from the much loved Dr. Seuss stories. Tony-award winning writers Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty bring to life some of the Seuss story favorites including Horton the Elephant, Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, Mayzie LaBird, The Wickershams, Sour Kangaroo, Yertle the Turtle, The Grinch, the Whos, and many more.
These colorful characters will transport audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the tiny world of the Whos through an exciting Seussical score of jazz, ballad, funk, rhythm & blues.
The story centers around Horton the Elephant as he finds himself having to protect his tiny friend, JoJo and all the invisible Whos, along with the task of caring for an abandoned egg left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie LaBird. The show has a story that will make you laugh and cry as well as bring forth the power of friendship, loyalty, family and community.
This show is suitable for the child in all of us!
